Opened up to nice blue, cold water. Got heater cranking and everything circulating. Had some pretty wild swings in my FC so went to the pool store to grab some new reagents. (As an aside, as I was trying to locate the FAS-DPD drops the guy asks if he can help me find something. Yeah, FAS-DPD drops I say. He asks if I've ever tried using test strips. <chuckle>. Um, no thanks.)
In any case with fresh reagents and a copy of their free test results I find my CYA is too low. I'm currently running 5 pounds of stabilizer in socks in the skimmers. I'm wondering if I should let that run its course before trying to adjust anything else. I'm currently aerating in anticipation of trying to lower the TA a bit.
Current readings:
FC: 7.0
PH: 7.2
TA: 130
CH: 170
CYA: 5 (and rising)
Salt: 3200
Recommendations?
