Noob here with little knowledge

Hi All,
I'm in DFW, TX, I have never owned a pool, have always resisted ever having a pool, and now I'm getting a pool. Having 2 little girls and wife always hinting at a pool and me cutting grass on a 1 acre lot in 95 to 100 deg weather has finally made me succumb to having a pool put in.
Currently waiting on gunite and praying for no rain. LOL!
I'll be coming here to learn.

Hey Jody and Welcome !!! I had many friends with pools and the amount of work/headaches they were always complaining of had me dead set against a pool for years. When I finally lost the battle, it could not have been easier and I kicked myself for trusting that everybody else had a clue. It was so easy I wish I did it 10 years earlier. My neighborhood changed too much and we lost the sense of community along with the house needing big work. We moved instead of investing in staying. I cannot get my new pool built soon enough. You’ll be fine and being here will guarantee its EZPZ. We will guide you every step of the way.
