I'm currently having and issue where pool pump motor is noisy and the water coming from return jet is bubbly(like carbonation) any help would be appreciated. The motor is a Hayward Power Flo lx from 2009. 1 hp. SP1510Z1XBC..Any body have idea what I could do, or have u had similar problems? Thanks in advance

You may have two separate issues. A noisy pump may be signs the pump is going bad, while the bubbles could be an indication of a suction side air leak. Basically air getting sucked IN to the system anywhere from the pool skimmer to the pump. It would help if you updated your signature and also posted some pics of your equipment pad from a couple different angles.

Also check to ensure your pump strainer pot under the clear lid is completely full of water.

I have a tiny pinhole leak on suction side hose from skimmer to pump .it sprays a very tiny stream of water when pump is off when on it doesn't leak..so I wrapped duck tape around it...could that lead to the "effervescent" effect at return jet?

Replace the hose! Bubbles from the return is from too much air in the filter. Is your pool the correct level? All you want to see is water entering the bottom of the skimmer, sometimes even an inch of water more can make a difference. On my last pool I knew I needed to have the water close to the top side screw in order to not get air in the system. If it went closer to the bottom screw (was a square skimmer with 2 screws on the side) I was sucking in air.

Once you figure the sucking in air part figured out use the air release (I'm assuming all filters have an air release) to get rid of the air in the filter.

The water level is at the center inner screws, where skimmer flapper is..about mid way up, so it is also level with upper most side screw, so maybe replacing hose will be the answer
