Noise from the heat pump when off

Folks, since I’ve opened the pool this year, I have this noise coming from the heat pump, right around where in/out piping is, once the pump is off. It sounds like water (or air?) is still flowing through. There’s no leaking anywhere around the piping, or the equipment. There is no air in the system, as as soon as I turn the pump on and open the purge valve on the filter gauge, water comes out right away, no air at all. This season, is first time I’m hearing this noise. Could it be that I have a leak somewhere in the buried piping? But I don’t see, more than usual water loss…

ok, so this morning, as pump is off (the noise still there), i opened the pressure relief valve on the filter gauge and it started sucking in air. It did for about 30 seconds and i hear water bubbling and gargling right around those heat pump pipes, but once it sucked in the air and stopped, the noise stopped as well. Does it mean i have a leak? But i cant find it anywhere when the pump is on...

No, once you open the air relief valve that becomes the leak sucking air in.

Sounds like your system is staying pressurized until the air relief valve is opened.

Heat Pumps also have refrigerant under pressure. You may be hearing the refrigerant equalizing pressure.

I don't think you have any problem.

OK thats good to hear that at least that is not the problem. My worry is, that i'm positive this noise was never there before this season. And it is there constantly now, as long as the system is off. It literally sounds like water is moving through the pipes.. but its not as my GPL check/valve gauge that sits, right after the heat pump out, is not showing any water moving. I will take another longer video and will post it.

Sounds more like this to me than water flowing through the system. Not all HP or AC systems make this hissing noise but many do and it's not considered a problem.
Yes thats what its definitely sounds like to me. Just like if you have water open in your house and hear the pipe noise of water moving through... but, the fact that this has never happened before this season, is what worries me.
