Hi, so newish pool owner here. hubby cleaned the salt cell and left it to soak overnight due to stubborn build up. The cell is not yet 3y old. This morning put everything back together and zero power to the box. We tried a hard restart by un plugging the large breaker to the pool area and unplugging the display box and then plugging everything back in again - and still nothing. Did he fry the salt cell and we need replacement or is there a way to reboot the power? Is there a fuse in the box we can work on or do we need a pool tech?

Does sound like a power issue but soaking the cell overnight isnt good as the acid (i assume thats what it was) eats away the precious metals in the cell and degrades its lifespan. In the future, try using the pool math app to track your CSI so that it stays -0.3 to zero and you may not ever have to clean the cell. Im on 4 years or running and cell hasnt ever needed cleaning.
