Nitrate Test Kit?

Hi,

I know that going based off nitrates isn't considered super important but I've been having an issue with my IntelliChem for a while now and Pentair is asking me to let them know the current nitrate levels in the water. Is there a test kit that anyone recommends using? I looked online and see a couple of test strip kits but wasn't sure if they're reliable or not.

I doubt they are reliable, but Pentair is just asking for a number so I wouldn't worry about the reliability of the test strips so much as the ability to give them a number. Though you might call around to some local pool or pet stores who might run the test for you free or cheaply.

And yes, this is a completely pointless number. You know how we call phosphates numbers unimportant? Nitrates are even less important.

It's not nitrates causing the problem. What problem are you having?

What are your chemistry readings?
