I moved into a home with a pool approximately 5 years ago. I was and in some ways still am initimidated by the pool and the thought of trying to maintain it myself. I have been using a local weekly pool service, but I am increasingly frustrated by the continued problems (green swampy pool throughout the season). I was hoping that the company servicing the pool would help give me the confidence I needed to maintain the pool; however, I now realize how silly that was because they want the business. Prior to me moving to this location, the pool was not used or maintained for many years. In the short amount of time I have had the pool, I have had skimmers replaced, replaced pump motor, replastered the pool, and most recently had a chlorinator installed on the pump. I am hoping to learn more in an effort to save money and have a pool that is crystal clear throughout the season.
