Hello everyone! Really glad I found this resource. I have a decent pool store close by, but usually I’m responsible for all things pool related. We have an inground pool, about 11-12 years old, we’re just finishing out 3rd summer in the house. We say it’s a unique spot for a pool, but not an ideal spot. Northern DE, mostly shredded backing up to tall woods, get about 1-2 hours of partial sun a day. Heater required even during height of summer. I’ll be following along with closing threads as I’m about to do my first time with a cyclone pump. Next summer I’ll be hitting you all up on advice about algae and staining.

Thanks! I’ll scour my phone while sitting here at swim practice. Unfortunately it’s pouring in DE so I can’t take any, even if I was home.
Homeowners Assoc. says we cannot “cut down” trees unless they are diseased or a danger. Doesn’t say we can’t cut some off the top, but so expensive. We back to state park land so can only do on our property.

Right pic is almost the sunniest we get. DADF8746-D942-4DFB-AFD6-4ABF0CD032FE.jpeg
Decent shot of the trees

WOW! That's how my yard kinda looked before we took down trees for the pool. But your area looks sooo pretty with those trees. Mine didn't.
You have a gorgeous pool and hardscape, but with all those trees, yeah, I can see why you need a heater in August.
Thanks for sharing :)

I’ve been spending too much time here. Thought this was gonna be another filter thread, nope, the ‘other’ DE. Welcome Paul.
