Hi yall! My family is moving into a home with a pool and we've never owned one before
!! I'm super excited as I've always wanted a pool, but really have no idea what we're doing. The pool this house has is in rough shape and needs repairs or replacing. Which I'm hoping is no trouble since there's already a deck surround. But we like the house so much, we're willing to make necessary changes to get it in proper condition. If it does need replacing, which type of pool would you say could last the longest? It's an oval pool, I believe 52", but it hasn't been inspected yet.

I'm assuming you are referring to replacing an above ground (AGP) pool correct? You might consider visiting our Above Ground Pool forum sub-section and searching and/or posting a new thread there for assistance. Lot's (and I mean LOTS) of AGP owners at TFP.
