New VS pump, came home to no return flow and a full water basket at low RPM, help?

Is the sand filter clean? There have been times when I couldn't feel water out of the jets and come to find the sand filter needs backflushed.

That’s a good thing to check.

I might also see if you can place a post it note over the return jet to confirm its not pushing any water out. It may just be very low pressure especially if its spread across a few returns.

If water is being sucked into the skimmer, water is moving.

Did you post a picture somewhere that I missed?

After priming and the pump steps down to the lower RPM, how long before the flow stops?

Also, what is the filter pressure at full speed?
Sorry, doing this from the phone is annoying.

2) No idea how long. I wasn't home for a lot of yesterday, so it was between 10 and 5 I'd say. Not really helpful, sorry.

3) 15 to 18 range. Usual for my filter.

Not sure. I'd say quite a few years. We bought the house and it came with it.

We never serviced it. Not sure about the previous owners.

And no issues. Ran it back to back days last week and worked flawless.
