Hello everyone, great to be part of your community! I've read so much already it's amazing how much information and good vibes you've created here 
My wife and I just moved into a 'new to us' home in Eastern Washington. Climate is desert, with 100+ degree temps in summer, and seasonal pool (spring through fall). The house has not been lived in for 3-4 years, but the pool has been maintained continually by a local company once per week.
We own and maintain a hottub, and I grew up with a pool as a child, but have never been responsible for one before. We are not big fans of the local company as their service is terrible. We spend a lot of money maintaining this pool and as a result have very little patience for poor service and performance from a vendor.
From what I can tell they are using tablets in a feeder all the time and adding liquid chlorine sporadically (according to their invoices).
While I wait for the TF-100 to arrive, I purchased an HTH 6 way kit from Lowes. The results are in my profile. They seem ridiculous to me. As a gesture of goodwill, would the TFP hive mind taking a look and letting me what you think? Happy to repay the favor in the future however I can
