It’s my first year opening salt water pool. I got the tarp off and vacummed with robot and beta and water was crystal clear for days. I had pool company come today to officially open and turn on equipment. They left without saying anything and now I have this white milky film all over the top. Is this normal, or will this clear up on own? Any feedback is greatly appreciated IMG_6686.jpeg

Don't worry about it, we'll help you fix it.
How are you testing your water?
Can you post a full set of water test results?
What products, if any, did they add?

That’s the thing I have no idea what they added . They were here for 15 minutes and left without saying anything they didn’t even get payment . I can tell pump is on on but other than that and them putting rail and ladder in I have no idea. They haven’t returned calls either . Lol very strange I would think they would like payment. But this white foam is alarming me a bit because it did no look like that before they got here. I was hoping it was just a normal part of opening pool but it seems to be getting worse and not better. I did notice the PSI filter is at only 6 right now from what I can tell that is low. I haven’t checked chemicals yet because I thought o read that I should wait 24 hours since pump is on. As you can tell I am a bit lost🤣

It looks soapy and not pond scum-y. Algecide or antifreeze may be the cause, but chlorine will get it so no worries.
