I needed to find this site years ago. I am replacing equipment in a pool that preexisted my purchase of the house. Current equipment is Pentair DNS 24 DE filter and pump is 3/4 h.p. Pentair Challenger High performance - this did a good job of filtering the pool. Plumbing is all 2-inch. I needed to change from DE to cartridge due to drainage issues with backwashing. I bought a 200 sq ft Pentair Clean and Clear cartridge filter and figured I'd try it with the existing pump but the pump is hurting so I want to replace it as well. Can you recommend a pump based on this information? Any help appreciated.
