I just got a new spa with a built-in Frog system and the PH and Total Alkalinity are very low.

Should I try to raise the TA first or the PH?

Are borax & baking soda safe to use for raising PH and TA with the Frog system?

Is there a guide and chemical calculator for spas like there is for swimming pools?

Which to raise first depends on what the numbers actually are. Spa water tends to run at a much lower TA than pool water due to the regular aeration raising the pH.

Don't see why they wouldn't be able to be used with any system out there, baking soda is the same as any TA increaser you buy in the store.

PoolMath will work just the same for spas as pools, just adjust the total gallons. There are guides for both chlorine and bromine spas:
How do I use Bromine in my spa (or pool)?)
How do I use Chlorine in my Spa (or pool)?)

It appears the Spa Frog uses bromine so the bromine guide will be a good starting point.
