Well, I am on year 3 and decided to redo my PVC lines as I learned a bit after my first go-round (used DWV) and although I had no issues, I want to head off any potential ones as well as relocate my pump and filter and replace the 2 flex-hoses. I am hoping to move the pump about 3-4 feet away from the pool. However, there is foot traffic in this area so I will need to bury the (2) lines. Being in CT I know winter is a concern. I was hoping I could go 1 foot down since it is such a short run. The lines will be blown out and anti-freeze poured in for winterization and then capped off.
Also, while I have kept the sand filter outside during the winter, I have brought the pump indoors. If I was to leave the pump out, is it ok if I flip a storage container over it to keep the bulk of the weather off it?
