New pool start up

In the next few weeks I will start up my pool, I will have a SWG, and in the directions, it says to add about 400 lbs of salt and 9 lbs of CYA, if the current levels are 0 ppm, which I'm assuming they will be since it's fresh water from my hose to fill the pool.

Any suggestion would be great, or links. I looked at the pool math but am confused

Salt will not be 0 in your fill water.

I would target about 80% of the salt PoolMath says to use. Then test it (you need a salt test kit) and add additional salt as needed.

Fresh water has no CYA in it. So use the amount PoolMath states.
