New pool owner trying to understand test strip reading

Sorry for that, you don't need to invert and leave it. The normal instructions are to invert to mix and back upright. LOL.
Looks like 8.2, lower it if you want, but do it in .4 increments and test 30 minutes after each additon.

I took your instructions very literal. Ok it’s raining out now but I’ll add some acid and lower it a bit
