Hayward doesn’t recommend using diluted muriatic acid for cleaning the fingers any more. I typically hose mine off and soak them in TSP with phosphates and rinse again. If they’re discolored, then I’ll use the muriatic bath to whiten them. But usually they’ll clean up with TSP alone.
The EC65 is 6 lbs. I can go through 21 lbs when I open our pool. Normally my pressure is at 10lbs. If after bumping it down, it rises to 20lbs within an hour, it’s time to backwash otherwise I’m constantly bumping it and wasting time really.
