I've been shocking it for the past 3 days, but the water is still green. The filter seems to be working properly. I know it will take a few days to clear up the water. Any suggestions on speeding up the process?Welcome to TFP!With any water, especially lake water, make sure to go to our ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry page and use a TF-100 Test Kit (or Taylor K-2006C) to test the water and adjust accodoringly. Very important to avoid algae and keep the water sanitary. Let us know if you have any questions. Congrats on the new pool.

Certainly. To clear-up water, you need to follow the SLAM Process. It works. But you must have a TF-100 (or Taylor K-2006C) test kit as noted above. If you follow the instructions on that SLAM link, you'll see positive results.Any suggestions on speeding up the process?

We are using a (drops not strips) test kit for chlorine and bromine. I have 3 tabs of chlorine in a floater right now. No liquid chlorine just the shock daily (which contained chlorine as well). How are you testing and chlorinating that water? How much chlorine (liquid, right?) did it take for lake water?
By the way, algaecide doesn't really kill algae....it is more a preventative. Assuming you have enough chlorine you really don't need it.
Enjoy your pool- I can't say I've ever seen one like that with a window!
