I'm trying to figure out how long to run my pump to turn over the pool once . I'm confused.....
I have the jandy pro series e pump 2.70 hp
15,900 gallon pool

I am looking to figure out my gpm ? From there I can calculate the run time from what I've seen.
On a side note my builder set the pump to max rpm 3450 claiming this to be most efficient with the setting of all skimmer valves and cleaner. Seem like a waist of a variable pump to me. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to TFP!

Turnovers are not important for residential pools, only commercial pools. Running a VS pump at 3450 rpm is not the best plan! :) I run my pump at 1100 rpm to make chlorine with the SWG, skim and filter. It uses 150 watts at 1100 rpm. Most folks run their pumps 4 to 8 hours per day. Some folks running VS pumps at low rpm will run 12 hours. However long it takes to keep your pool clean is the right answer.
