New pool - no pump - no circulation

Recently moved to Ga. Have put in a new A/G 8000G. pool. Unfortunately, it's been full of water for a week without circulation/filtration and it's gonna be another week until I can get an electrician out to hook up my pump. I currently have a couple of floaters going with 3" tabs in there which are painfully slow to dissolve , but again, no way to circulate water. Fortunately , I have no trees close by, so not much organics & no algae visible currently. I'm trying to come up with a way to get more chlorine/stabilizer into the pool faster.. I can throw liquid Cl in there, but with no stabilizer and sun on the pool all day, seems like a waste. What do ya'll think about replacing the 3" tabs with some granulated cal hypo ( @ 60% chlorine ) in the floaters? More surface area, more dissolution, higher cl percentage? Any suggestions for getting some stabilizer in there? Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks, Dave. P.S. My profile is from my old Florida pool which I no longer have. I'll change/update ASAP

Don't mix different types of chlorine that's for sure. Bad news there.. I suppose you could still use the sock-soaking method to dissolve granular stabilizer in a white sock. Let it soak for about 20 minutes before squeezing, then with every few bursts of the milky cloud brush around. Same with regular bleach poured slowly, brush around.

Not sure what part of Ga your in but Atlanta is showing cooler weather weather at least for the next few days. Been very windy here, actually blew out my gas grill twice at lunch!
If it were mine I would add liquid chlorine every day just to keep your levels up.
