New pool (and home) owner in DFW, Texas.

Hi everyone. Fiance and I just bought our dream home, and hoping to find out more about owning and maintaing a pool here. In fact, I just posted a thread about some serious electrical issues I'm having in the Pump, Filter, etc section, but it has to be approved. First time having to take care of a pool, and I admit I'm more than a little apprehensive!

I've already seen a lot of great info here though, and I'm hoping I can get these issues sorted out and actually enjoy the pool this summer!
