New liner, new water, help!

Food for thought and to help you gain understanding. You're doing great! Perhaps 100% perfect or perhaps you'll read something below that helps you do even better!

FAS-DPD testing is amazing, to be sure, but is still limited by testing variable. Where did the sample get taken from in the pool? Was it near the surface or near the wall or down towards the center? Was the water well circulated for 30mins-2hours before the test sample? Was the next morning sample taken after the pump ran all night? At least 30mins-2hrs before testing? Was the pool brushed a lot during the SLAM so that algae was mixed into all water equally or are there still spots where algae is high and low, thus making water higher and lower FC? Deadspots get enough brushing and FC? And then there is the test itself- were both the water samples exactly 10mL or perhaps a little different? Did both turn solid pink with powder? Did all the drops come from a straight vertical bottle and were dropped no faster than 1 drop per second so that they "held on" for as long as they could before gravity ripped them off the dropper nipple? Were all the drops equally massive before they fell? Did you swirl in each drop long enough to be sure the color change (if any) was complete before dropping another in? Were you in an area well lit enough to be sure it was still a hint of pink and then 100% clear? Did you do the one extra drop to verify no further change, and subtract it from the total drops? Did anyone else dose the pool?

These are just some of the variables we strive to control during testing/OCLT.
