New Jandy PDA or switch to IAqualink

Hi All:

My 9 year old PDA stopped working after I accidently left my it outside for a few weeks in the rain and sun. I put new batteries in and it wont turn on. It blinked a few times and went dead.

Im thinking of replacing with the iaqualink and using my cell/ipad rather than a new pda. Looks like the price is about the same? My current system is a PDA 8265 and Jbox 8252. Any thoughts on this? Also can someone please confirm the part number I'll need? I beleive its the iQ20-RS. I have a pool and SPA.

ok thank you. Do I just need to 1q20-RS kit to convert? Will I need anything else? I have a wifi coverage in my equiptment room.

Go to the Jandy site to confirm your controller board is compatible with iAqualink... not all of them are. If it is compatible installation is a snap! If not you may need an upgrade or new board. I have the rs-12 (I think all rs series are compatible) and it is definitely compatible. What model control do you have?
