Hello. My name is Coral and I am from Southern CT and have been maintaining my 30,000 gallon pool by myself for 6 seasons, prior to that I just vacuumed and helped take the cover on and off. Never had to do the chemistry or fix pumps and filters. I am no chemist, though I do try! I find maintaining a pool a never ending process and it is always a different issue. Quite frankly, I am at the point of burying the pool because everything is such a learning process for me, besides opening, closing & vacuuming. Until now... I joined this site because I am having vacuuming issues for the first time in 46 years and that was really the only thing I had going for me with this pool. Now I cannot vacuum. I sure do hope someone can help me and the threads that I have read so far have given me great advice, though nothing that has solved my issue and I am getting scared that I might have to rip up the patio to fix the problem. I have read a lot of the threads and find the members to be extremely generous with their knowledge and, that is very much appreciated. I want to thank everyone for being so kind and generous with their knowledge and time and I hope you don't kick me out because I ask too many questions.

No limit to questions. Is this maybe a worn out valve issue that isn't fully selecting the suction line for the vacuum? Or do you plug it in to the skimmer?
