Hello! I have had an M400 for 7 years and it has worked beautifully and we love it. Recently it stopped moving after 2-3 min in the pool. I took it to an authorized repair place and they said they could find no issues and it worked well on their end. Brought it home yesterday and same problem. Two questions. 1. Has anyone had this happen and any idea what it could be? 2. What should I buy to replace this unit? Open to suggestions but would love it to work as well as M400, for as long as possible and under $2k. Thank you!!

Welcome BACK to TFP... :shark:

Dolphins go through a self test routine every time they start up.. if the little computer inside detects a fault, it will stop after the self test is over..

On the older ones the suction fan can get jammed and needs to be cleared. Maybe check that?

The older power supplies can go bad and when they don't regulate well, they cause the motors to draw too much current, which causes the self test to fail.

5 years is good with these cleaners, 7 is excellent service. Many here have tried to repair, only to hit brick walls where the availability of parts, or the cost just leads them to replacement. My guess, time to replace.

I would recommend you call Marina pools and spas and talk to them for a recommendation. LOTS of member here have found good results...and because Marina is brick and mortar, you get all the warranty coverage.
