New Above Ground Pool - Adding chemicals?

Hi! I am so thankful for this forum. I've learned a lot already, but have a very basic question. Our pool and filter system is set up and ready to go. We are getting it filled tonight with water from the nearest fire hydrant (which is city water). My test kit will not be arriving until Thursday.

Here is my question: Once there is water in the pool tonight, should I go ahead and put something in the water? Even without a test kit until Thursday? The products I have on hand are: Splash Pool Shock Liquid Chlorinator (8 gallons), Utikem Chlorine Stabilizer and Conditioner (1.75 lbs), and Sunnyside Muriatic Acid (1 gallon).

I'd like to be using the pool by this weekend, so any head start that I can do before the test kit comes on Thursday would be great.

City water will not have any CYA in it, so you can go ahead and get that going, using pool math, input your gallons and at the bottom set the goals, then enter zero for current CYA and I would say shoot for 30. Put the CYA in a white sock and hang it over the edge of the pool, (not touching anything but water) in front of a outlet. Squeeze it from time to time until it all dissolves. Based on that you can also calculate an initial dose of chlorine, assume zero and use the 30 CYA in pool math.
I come up with 17 oz of CYA and that will give you a chlorine range of 4 - 6. You need to see what strength the chlorine is and add that in pool math to tell you how much to add.
