Haven't seen any owls in the yard here, but lots in nearby parks. Gotta love the Tampa Bay area.

Well it looks like little Hedwig 1 & 2 have flown the coupe...
The hollow tree has been empty for a day or so. But today we saw em out back.
All 4 of em. Mom, pops and the 2 kids (chicks?) They were all together.
I think they were getting flying or hunting lessons.
By the time I got my camera one of the little ones was gone, I think with one of the parents.
The other one was perched in the top of an oak tree.
Then, he fell off the branch he was perched on.
We watched in horror as he tumbled to the ground, hitting branches & flailing wildly all the way down.
Little guy got up and shook it off, then started to hop & flap his way back up the trees.
And then, he was right back where he started...
Almost looks like he's winking at me to let me know he's OK...
I sure hope that they all hang around. It's fun to spy on em.
