I live in Central Texas and we recently had a pretty good freeze. My Hayward salt water pool and its pumps came out pretty good while running the freeze protect mode. But I had a valve that despite my best insulating effort ended up with a small crack; which is currently releasing a small spray of water. See attached pictures. I want to try and replace with an exact copy or equivalent. Best as I can tell, it's a Zurn 400 PSI ball valve. This valve controls the water pipe that goes to the pool in order to refill it when the weather is dry and the water evaporates. I searched the local big box stores and the internet but can't seem to find a specific replacement. Also, any ideas on how easy it is for a DYI job to replace the valve or do I need to call in a plumber. Thank you!!

Is the valve the only part that's damaged? If so, you can get a replacement valve at HD, Lowes, or any plumbing supply store. Take the damaged valve with you to get a replacement. Brand doesn't matter. It's a DIY project if you feel up to it.

For freeze protection, it's best to drain/extract the water from your PVB plumbing or install unions so you can remove them during a hard freeze.
