Hey all! This hose is dry rotting and needs to be replaced before summer. It looks and feels that way at least so I would like to be a bit proactive. Any help on what this hose is or links to where this can be purchased would be greatly appreciated!

I’m thinking this is the exact hose

Pentair 155710 Pump to Filter Assembly Replacement Pool and Spa Sand Filter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008GT7NAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JH9N55XGFF8AHKS270DQ

Any harm in just swapping that out as is since it’s plug and play?

If that’s the same type of hose I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
I can't tell from your picture, but I don't see a union at the bottom connection like the linked hose has. It looks like you have a threaded connection at the pump with your current hose.

If it is the right hose, it will work until the next one breaks. :) Rigid or flexible PVC will last much, much, longer and reduce the risk of breakage/leaks while you're not there to catch it.
