Need help please

Does 16 x32 have to have base? We have gorilla pad & pavers my husband has cancer and I had surgery, we really need help with knowing what to do( he has avn & water is supposed to help his blood flow, both his legs feet & ankles are collapsing. Dr says get him in water asap
 
Welcome to TFP! :wave: A base of some sort is usually best to protect the liner from sharp objects and make the floor feel more comfortable for the swimmers. Some people simply purchase home insulation panels or Gorilla Pads instead of sand for the base. But much depends on budget and the type of soil you have. If your soil isn't too bad, hard, or filled with sharp rocks and such, a simple later of sand might suffice. But above everything else, the area must be level - that's for safety. That you cannot not compromise.

Are you having someone level the ground for you?
