Need help/confirmation on a fix for aquaplus vsp comm error new build

My aquaplus automation was just installed today by my electrician. The PB doesn’t know how to program or make them work right and to be fair he let me know up front. Few people here opt for this.

I got my equipment configured and timers programmed. I have my pump running manually until I could get this set up. It appears I am producing chlorine.

I have a check system light and vsp comm error. Am I correct in thinking the dip switch on the pump needs to be off? If so can a non electrically inclined person do this?

Am I ok to leave the system with the “check system” light on or should I shut off the tcell?

Am I way off base here?

Ps I only knew what dip switch was because of exhaustive searches in here.

I found the answer when PB called Hayward rep. The answer is yes. The dip switch had to be off and since electrician was close by he came and changed it. Aqua plus controlling pump now
