Hello. Can use all your help. I follow TFP method and have been for years. Past few months I've gotten a few bouts of green in the water. Possibly could have been partially due to needing to clean salt cell as it chlorine went to 0 a time or two because of that.

With that said, I've been raising PH to 25-30 to use more than not enough. I HATE the Taylor CYA text as I feel it's subjective but based on it I feel CYA is @ 50-60. So days after slamming at 25-30 and frequent testing pool still quasi cloudy and maybe a tinge of green hue. Can't imagine the algae hasn't been killed yet. Pump running all day and night. Tried clarifier due to visitors coming into town tomorrow but it didn't do anything.

Considering using Orenda phosphate remover to see if that helps clear things up as well as reducing the phosphates for easier maintenance in coming months.

Wife's friends coming into AZ tomorrow and need to get water looking nice ASAP. HELP! Should I try algaecide or phosphate remover at this point???

FC @ 25-26 presently with maybe loss of 1-2% overnight but honestly didn't test after adding chlorine last night. Just estimating it should have gone to @ 30 after what I added and was @ 28 early this AM.
Alk @ 120
PH was 7.2-7.4 prior to slamming
CYA @ 50-60
Salt pool with swim pure system and t-15
Hayward Sand filter newer
18k gallons between pool and spillover hot tub

Have you scrubbed everything? Inside ladder tubes, behind lights, in the skimmer, foam in the weir door, auto leveler sump...EVERYTHING?

I wouldn't use phophate removers, algaecides or any other non recommended products.

To speed the clearing, you might try adding DE to your filter. DE MUST be pool DE, not garden DE.

Yes I have been brushing but in ground pool so no ladder or the like. When I brush the steps and walls still some dirt/green clouds pushed. Should I backwash during the SLAM in case that improves efficiency/gets some of the vacuumed up algae out of the filter? Pressure is at 12 so doesn't seem too high. Never added DE to the sand before.
