Last week was the first time I got in our pool since opening late April. The walls annd floor were slick/slippery. Everything looked sparkly and no CC up until this point so I thought all was good in the pool world. I will note that I thought the pool was losing more PPM (3-4)per day than last year but it was holding good overnight with never more the .5ppm loss.
Fast forward, Last Sunday I adjusted PH to 7,2 , brushed everything and began the SLAM being very vigilant and checking chlorine every three to four hrs during the day along with keeping up the brushing and vacuuming regime. It has passed the OCLT the last 2 nights and looks sparkly clear to me and my wife but the slick feeling is still there and maybe marginally better than when I began the SLAM. I’m still in SLAM mode but looking for advice for anything else I need to be doing.
Todays test from Taylor 2006c
FC - 16
PH - I haven’t checked since Sunday with FC being above 10
ALK - 80
Cal - 200 last time I checked. I honestly don’t check it very often
CYA - I’m calling it 40. Can barely see the dot halfway between 30-40 so I’m calling it 40.
Water temp is 85°
Kinda windy here today but hope these pics might help. TIA for any help
