I have 2 Jandy 1.5 single speed pumps. One runs the spa and one runs the pool. They are both 18 years old. One of them just went and the other is on its way out. Searching the forum threads for replacements, I think I’m more confused. I’m trying not to break the bank and replace both motors. Single speed for the spa and dual for the pool. I guess my main question is, should I just bite the bullet and get a variable speed? Is it worth it? Are there other brands other than the main ones that are a little cheaper and still reliable?

If you could post a picture of your equipment pad the members will comment on if you can replace the two pumps with a single VS pump with some plumbing modifications.
