Last 3 or 4 times I've closed the pool I have opened it up in spring and it was crystal clear save a few muck and leaves. This time it is a green swamp. It looks so bad I hate to put my hands in the water and get the plugs. I also hate to turn the pump on and run it through the system. So, my question is is there any advantage to shocking it first with copious amounts of chlorine and letting it sit a few hours before getting the pump primed and running?
Thanks in advance,
Rob
