Thought I'd share what my electric bill cost from running my new heat pump 24/7 after my 30day billing cycle. (but pump came on the 15th)
HP- Raypak 119,00btu 6450 running 24/7 set point 96degs
Jandy pro 2.7hp running 24/7 @ 2000rpm
My average weather- Fluvanna TX Climate Averages, Monthly Weather Conditions
Not sure this is gonna help or confuse, Lol. But, it's information. My average for the heat pump seems to be around 104kwh a day. It's tough because we ran our A/C a few days in there. I'm at roughly .9kwh it seems. So, 104kwh x 30days @ .9 is about $350 for the month of April. Last year in April, we didn't have the pool heater, pump or A/C going.
Overall, I'm OK with spending $350-400 in a month to be able to swim in April. YMMV. I know this will be dropping soon because we are approaching summer soon.
Edit: No solar blanket and the water averaged 80degs nights*-90degs days*
