Although I'm new to this site I'm not new to water treatment. I'm a semi-retired chemical engineer with more than sixty years of industrial/commercial water treatment. My work covered a broad spectrum of industries with a specialization in treating boiler water and cooling tower water systems of all sizes and configurations. I'm quite familiar with both the chemical and physical aspects of water treatment including filtration, RO, and other separation technologies. I'm currently on the pool committee for the indoor pool in our condo community. The other committee members need a lot of help in understanding basic pool chemistry and we need to address the competence of the "outside" pool company they've been using (they're using commercial laundry bleach and concentrated muriatic acid with 7-gallon carboys stored next to each other without containment). More later.
