My booster pump is leaking through the input port, money is kind of tight right now, is it this something i can replumb myself or use putty?

Cut it out and replumb. There should be a hose, not pipe, in both the in and out of a booster pump. There is enough vibration in those pumps to eventually damage the fittings.
Pentair part #353020 (Polaris hose kit works as well.)

Where should i make the cut? before or after the 90 degree pipe, once i do that and remove the pipe that is attached to the booster pump, do i take the new hose and attach it to the existing pipe?

Hose should be connected to the pipe with an adapter that comes in the kit. Hot sue if that is 3/4" or 1" pipe. You need a 3/4"FIP x 3/4" (or 1") socket adapter that the hose adapter thread into. Cut high on the pipe to give working room. You can do the same on the out let side with the proper pipe adapter

So i just measured it out, the input pipe, is 1 inch diameter, does that mean the port is 1 inch as well? The top pipe is 1.75" or so in diameter, is there a separate hose kit for that? Also, since it is 1 inch do i want Pentair part #353020 , or 353040
