Hello, Im happy to be here learning how to get rid of this stubborn stuff. I discovered it during my seasonal closing routine and am now having to raise my water level back up to be able to tackle it... at least the water is colder now. Thanks for the resources!

Here in this forum, we address algae with the SLAM Process first, passing all 3 criteria. If an owner has confirmed Mustard Algae, then after the SLAM Process they increase the FC level to Mustard Algae levels for 24 hrs only. All of this using either a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit for accuracy. That's key. Take a look at those links and let us know if you have any questions.

There should be a mail order thing where you send an algae sample and they tell you what it is. I always wonder if it’s green or mustard. I hate guessing.
