Mustard Algae or Inorganic flakes?

Hi - Been having trouble scrubbing and ridding myself of these stains. At first, I thought it was mustard algae, since we did have an algae issue when opening the pool. For about two weeks, we've been slamming but haven't been able to make any traction in scrubbing off the marks on the wall. OCLT test still shows that we are losing around 3ppm overnight

FC: 28
pH: 7.8
TA: 16
CH: 200
CYA: 60

The specks themselves are coarse, not slimy, and pretty numerus. Its found all alongside one pool wall, at about a foot below water level.

Any thoughts? Its a plaster pool

Whatever is in the picture doesn't look like algae to me, but you seem to have something going on of you are losing that much FC overnight.

Can you tell us what test kit you are using? That TA number doesn't make sense. Are you sure about that one?

Apologies, the TA was 160ppm. We are still seeing FC loss of around 3ppm after havnig kept the FC ~20 for the last two weeks. Have scrubbed everywhere and not having much luck finding the source.

I've been using the TF 100 Test Kit

whats the best way to clean the pool cover? do i need a scuba tank?
Clean the pit & the topside, as you roll it up.
the backside will contact the top side
Also leave it deployed for a day so it comes into contact with slam level fc water.
