Hello. I am new to De pools.
We have a pentair FNS with multi valve.
The in-laws let the pool go for about 8month with no maintenance. I was deep green with frogs occasionally in it.

I started the process of shocking it, using yellow gone, chlorine, backwashing etc

When we put new DE in I could see it was coming out in the pool through one of the dish fountains. It would get really cloudy within 2 mins. This caused me to investigate more and I discovered it had bad spider valve gasket, also the manifold had cracks in it.
I cleaned and inspected all grids, no tears that I could see. Ordered new manifold. Installed (this was difficult and time consuming because they were not going on easy )
Turned the filter on and then coated the grids (DE in skimmer) I could see only a little DE was coming back into pool through the dish fountain.

I am not sure what to do. There is DE at the bottom of the pool from when the broken Manifold was being used. I can’t get this clear.

I feel we need to vacuum the bottom with Something that can really pickup this fine DE.

I have pics and videos of the DE going into the dish fountain about 2 mins after putting DE into the skimmer 2DA5300C-6944-4A59-BC23-299768AEE5D2.jpeg
This is after we stated shocking the pool. It was much greener than this before.08EC30D2-6650-46E5-8964-EBE9C530CAC3.jpeg
Few days later. We were told to add more chlorine and algecide

Later that day after adding the recommended.

After installing new manifold yesterday

After running filter all night this is what the grids looked like.
We backwashed and added more DE.
Here is problem. When I brush bottom of pool white stuff comes out. I believe this is DE from when manifold was broken0E600925-665B-49DF-8C54-FC91D1A3CE42.jpeg4FF475F5-64E5-4AE8-A3FD-9477C6FFE722.jpeg
Also after 2 mins of adding DE I can see this turn a smidge cloudy as seen in photo.

I need this pool clear before the 11th. Is this possible at this point? I can’t get anyone trustworthy to come out and help either. I need help!!

Welcome to TFP! To be clear you have/had two problems - A damaged filter and algae. If you think "some" DE might still be leaking into the pool, it sounds like you might still have to inspect that filter some more, but it's better than before. For the algae, no amount of filtration will clear it. Neither will those pool store products like algaecides, Yellow Out, etc. In fact, those items can cause more problems by adding metals to the water, specifically copper. I would not add anymore of those items.

To kill and remover algae, you need to follow the SLAM Process. To perform a SLAM Process properly and consistently, you need a reliable at-home test kit, either a TF-100 (link in my signature) or Taylor K-2006C. I would be sure to have one of those first, post a full set of test results, and we can coach you through the SLAM Process. But filtration won't do it. It's a chemical thing.
