I backwashed my pool. Pentair filter. Then I turned the valve counter clockwise and now the handle is stuck on "closed". Is there a way to free it up to swing it back to filter?? Won't push down to raise it out of the notch. Thanks!!

You might have to remove the top part of the valve to see if the spring, valve stem, etc are still in good shape and that something didn't break. If after removing you find nothing obvious and then it works fine, you might want to try turning the handle the same direction each time (clockwise for example). Maybe something got pinched.
