Hello All Again,
So today after my kids were in the pool i realized that I had lost at least 1/4 inch of water. at that point I was freaking out again and figured something was wrong. I just did the bucket test and everything was level over night (no pumps running) .. So it had to be with something on or around the pumps.
Sure enough I have found the leak, it's my old UST-1102 Motor, thing is nearly rusted over underneath. There was a steady stream of water coming from underneath the pump, it also sounded pretty narly, i believe it's bearings.
It's supposed to be nice weather out tomorrow and all my 5 year old daughter has been talking about is using the pool. So i really didn't want this thing to sit.
So I unbolted the motor and brought it to the pool store, and picked up another UST-1102 brand new, then I found out I had to do some dissection on this thing, swap over the impeller and the housing itself.
I have everything out and I don't think I'm going to have a problem swapping them over. I also bought a new shaft seal, in the event that's what was leaking. So I have both parts of the shaft seal and will replace the old one with new.
I screwed up taking a photo of the electrical before I disconnected the old leads, I usually always do this but i was sort of flustered with the whole situation and forgot. Here is my question..
In the photo below I have a 240v twist lock plug. The end of the wire is Ground, (green) then White and Black, Does it matter which wire goes on Load1 and Load2 ???
I'm assuming no, but i'm not entirely sure.
