Pool was plastered yesterday with stonescapes Tahoe blue minipebble. They are acid washing today but wanted to get opinion on whether the exposure was typical for minipebble. I requested that they use the water wands to expose. The sun shelf seems to have the smoothest feel (first picture). All of these are Pre-acid so a part of me knows it will look cleaner after, but also worried what the end result is if acid further erodes the plaster. Hopefully all is well but wanted to get more experienced eyes on this. Thanks!

Looks like they used the water wands to expose the stone just a touch prematurely. As long as they go light on the acid wash it shouldn't erode the plaster significantly more, but the exposure is what it is at this point.

I'm not really sure what's typical, but I had mine done a week ago and specifically asked for minimal exposure, and a super light acid wash. They warned me that my requests could result in a mottled and uneven looking surface, which I told them I was fine with. This is the most close up photo I have (it's Stonescapes mini Tahoe blue with double the black stones and 1/3 the blue dye).
