Metal type for In Ground Pool ladder Flange/coupling?

So I’m replacing the couplings? I guess you could call them that the ladder sits in for an in ground pool ladder. Looking at switching to salt water so I was trying to figure what would handle it best. Brass or aluminum when it comes to corrosion?

I would go plastic or stainless steel. But brass is an option. I would not go aluminum.
