Mesh Safety Cover - Skimmer lid

Hi,

I just got a mesh safety cover. I am unsure how to stop water from entering the skimmer through the skimmer lid since the cover will just let the water through.

Any ideas out there??

I used to gorilla tape the edges and center hole in the lid. But I shortly realized how it quickly filled from the pool with the mesh cover. Stuff the throat with pool noodles and any water that gets in there won't be able to expand enough when frozen to harm anything.



The guzzmo is plenty in the main part of the skimmer, but once I'm out there cutting up noodles, I'll stuff that too just because.
