Maytronics 99996403-PZ Dolphin Nautilus Plus Robotic Pool Cleaner with Pro Caddy HELP

I am a new pool owner. Want to get a robot. This is the one I've been eyeballing. 770 shipped and it comes with a caddy. Installer gave me an Aquabot Z1 but I havnt used it yet because I'm not sure if I want it. Can anyone give me some advice on this one. There are so many different dolphins and Aquabot, why is one better or worse than the others. Any help would be great

Dolphins have a good warranty and they stand behind their product. Good customer service and the machines are made well. The dolphin nautilus plus is a great machine and that's a great price with a caddy. Most places sell that unit for $670-$700 with no caddy. It has their most powerful pump too. One thing about the nautilus though is that it doesn't do the waterline, only floors and walls.

Not sure what what your budget is, but another one to look at that's similar is the dolphin a30i. Most places sell it for $1300 but you can get it right now from marina pool supply for $899. It's the top of the line in that series. Includes a caddy, Bluetooth and a 2 year warranty that is bumper to bumper including wearables like filters a belts. It has a smaller pump than the nautilus but also does the waterline. You can also tell it to do waterline only, floors only, walls only or everything.

What is the benefit of water line? Is that so I don't have to brush it? My pool supply store sells the I300, but like u said, its 1300. Is the waterline with less pump worth 400 bucks?

Sorry they sell the A30I

Pools generally get scum across the waterline, so most people use a pad to brush that and a pool brush on the walls. The robot takes care of the walls and only some do the waterline. IMHO is a waterline feature worth $400, NO, but is it and the other features worth $130, YES, especially considering the warranty.

I really wanted the S300i/A30i but all the stores by me were selling it for $1300. Because of that, I ended up ordering the Oasis Z5 for $975. It has the same motor as yours, but it does the waterline, has a remote and most important to me, a 3 year warranty. About 2 hours after ordering mine, I found Home | Marina Pool Spa & Patio and they were selling the A30i for $899. I tried to cancel my order but it had already shipped.

It comes down to whats important to you. The difference between the A30i having a pump of 3750 GPH and the Nautilus having a 4350 GPH is not that much. Both will clean your pool effectively. I like the fact that with the A30i you can specify to only do the floors, or only do the walls. It also has an ultra clean feature which will tell it to slow down and take longer if you pool is especially dirty. You can also use bluetooth to navigate it to an especially dirty area. For me, the biggest selling point of the A30i is the 2 year warranty that covers wearables. The traction belts on the unit are $40 and the filters are $100, thats worth it in itself. Also, a lot of Brick and mortar stores sell the A30 and s300 line so they will have a lot of the parts if there is an issue. Thats not a big deal though, since Maytronics has a 5-7 day total turnaround time for repairs sent to them, including shipping time.

So in the end, I wouldn't spend $1300 for an A30i but if your budget allows, I would seriously consider spending and extra $130 for the A30i. And if you really want the larger motor plus the ability to waterline plus an extra year warranty, look at the Oasis z5 for $975 ($1049 - $25 coupon(poolreview25) and a $50 rebate) or the M400 for $999 from Marinapool. The M400 is the same as the Oasis z5. I believe it has has bumper to bumper warranty too. The 2017 models also have a 3rd brush.

Marina pool will not sell the A30i or the M400 on the internet. You have to call them and place a phone order, but its free shipping and no tax. Hope this help
