Similar question from me as well though a little different I think. Attaching photo! Pool company that opened pool said it wasn't necessary in the fall and then this spring a new crew came and said we should think about filling it.

Yes, it should have been filled last year.. They just did not want to do it.. That stops water from getting behind your pool.. If left open it "could" start breaking tiles and plaster of your pool walls...

This is what you want to use, both work but the second one is a newer version :)
