Mastertemp information needed. Thermal Regulator

Our MasterTemp model 460805 is 15 years old. I took the manifold apart to remove a piece of plastic lodged in there and discoverd my heater does not have a thermal regulator.

Was the thermal regulator optional in 2010 or did I just forget to put one in during setup in June 2010?

There has always been a thermal regulator in the MasterTemp.

If you removed the manifold, be aware of the bolt tightening sequence and torque requirements. Read Pentair MasterTemp Heaters - Further Reading
